2005 Venturi Schulze Brut Naturel (half bottle)
Nothing added her: no sulphites, no sweetness (dosage). Just the essential fruit succulence and varied flavour profiles of three composite grapes: Pinot Auxxerrois offers bursting florality to the nose; Pinot Gris isometrics the supple body structure, Kerner roars that shckingly refreshing rain shower sprinkled sun baked rock mineral finish. Persistent mouse, Unique fresh fruit, fresh bread yeast character. Playfulness matched with elegance. Utterly exquisite.

2004 Tugwell Creek Meadery,Wassail Blush Sack Mead
Our first and foremost meadery composing the ancient Viking recipe developed for month long wedding rituals. Wildflower honey, pure spring water from the meadery, oak aged dry and lean. Huge testosterone curve warning.

2004 Venturi Schulze Brandenburg No. 3, Cobble Hill
Picture an opulently overripe apricot demurely shedding its skin before sliding into bed and the adoring arms of a tumescent, post pubescent fig tree, co-mingling their nectars in the sweet innocence of their mutual release into each other. Sylvaner grapes slow cooked 2 days over an open fire in the vineyard subsequently aged 2 years in tiny Chestnut barriques from Modena imparting an escalator like striation of various wood spices inside the variegated wombs of fig, nectarine, peach, pear, strawberry and believe it, guava. Beyond this world. As is Bach's concerto of its nomenclature.

2004 Hester Creek Late Harvest Pinot Blanc, Oliver
Wine maker Frank Supernak's prototype & superb vintage, this is an icon of b.c. winemaking. Frank gave up his life attempting to rescue neighbouring winemaker Victor Manola who'd been overcome by co2 and fallen into the vat. Frank went in after him knowing full well his chances were less than negligible. Both expired. A noble wine by a wonderful individual.
